I was listening to "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths in my old studio. I was really down, the year before I had lost my mother in a completely unexpected way, and the event changed the lives of everyone close to her. In 2020, my relationship with her family deteriorated dramatically. Every event, every argument, every problem exuded a heavy physical and mental toxicity. It was hard on my father, my brother, and me. But in certain cases, you have to experience things through filters to avoid ruining your life. This is the only portrait of the three of us that I wanted to create. My mother's favorite flower was the sunflower.
